We are a Fairtrade School!
Here at Saint catherine's Primary school the Fairtrade Committee has been working hard to try and achieve the Fairtrade Status.Through all this hard work, planning and organising we have been awarded the Fairtrade Status! The feedback from the assessors was extremely positive:
"You have obviously spent a lot of time on this through well-produced planning and application. Your school has put in a lot of hard work to arrange a number of Fairtrade events, and to make sure that it is an important part of your school life. It is good that you have managed to make links with local supermarkets and businesses and that they are supporting you in your work.
I am pleased to approve your application to be a Fairtrade School. Congratulations!"
This would not have been possible without the committment and support from pupils, staff, parents and all the local businesses and companies who have supported us in all our events and acitivites.
As a school we now look forward to working towards new Fairtrade goals in the next school year.
